Custom Hammer weight & Guide.
Generation #3 pictured (right) stock unit on (left).


With the Custom Hammer weight and Guide installed, the only parts touching the inside of the receiver tube are the gen3 guide material and Delrin cups on the hammer. Results: Faster and smooter lock time. Equals better accuracy.

This allows the hammer  weight and spring to rub the inside of the receiver tube. Shiny spots on the hammer weight confirm it has made contact with the inside of the receiver.

If you want to get the most you can from your Talon SS, then this is what you do. Decide if you want to stay with the 12" tube, or go to a 18" or 24". The velocity results increase greatly the longer the barrel, like 985fps with JSBs, and 902fps with the Kodiaks, using a 24" barrel, 18" velocities will be somewhat less. The next thing is to add TimW's extra hammer weight. You ask what will this do, well it will open the valve, with a 3200psi fill from shot one all the way through. Nope no more wasted shots waiting for the pressure to decrease. I have the 24" barrel, and the weight on my Talon SS, and fill to 3000psi, with the powerwheel turned all the way down, and get 985fps, with JSBs, on the first shot. Yes I know the extra weight is for the Condor, but it will just make a new, and very pleasing gun, out of the Talon SS, no matter what barrel you use. I have always advocated a heavier hammer configuration, using a stock spring. The results I am achieving bear this out, so order yours from Tim Wilson now!!! Woo Hoo
